An exhibition can be walked through quietly, alone, taking in what's there. Walk & Talk turns that same walk into something shared — a conversation that unfolds as you move through the space together.
Walk & Talk is a one-off session, organised by The Second Thought — sometimes in collaboration with a museum or gallery, sometimes independently. It's open to anyone who wants to join, and from the start it's clear what your part is: not just to look, but to think out loud and listen to others doing the same.
Using Visual Thinking Strategies, no prior knowledge is needed to take part as an equal. Everyone looks at the same image, forms their own view, and shares it — and hears how differently others read the same thing. That's where the pleasure begins: discovering an exhibition together, one question at a time.
What starts as a conversation about a single artwork often opens onto bigger questions — about society, identity, belonging, power, change, or what it means to live together.
Keep an eye on our agenda or newsletter to find out where and when the next Walk & Talk takes place.
